Day Trip To Ouzoud Waterfalls

Your day trip to the stunning Ouzoud Waterfalls begins with a morning departure from Marrakech. As you travel northeast, enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Middle Atlas, passing through rolling hills and countless olive groves that stretch across the countryside.

Upon arrival at the small village of Ouzoud, your adventure begins. You’ll make your way past local souvenir stalls and start your descent down a series of winding steps, weaving past charming cafes perched on the cliffside. Even before you reach the bottom, your first spectacular view of the waterfalls appears – a dramatic, three‑tiered cascade plunging over 110 metres into the river below. It is, without a doubt, an unforgettable sight.

For the more adventurous, a slightly more challenging path exists, offering incredible panoramic views from above. This route requires sturdy footwear but rewards you with frequent encounters with the local Barbary apes, who roam freely in their natural habitat.

At the base of the falls, you’ll find the best vantage points for photos and reflection. During the summer months, swimming is possible in the cool pools, and small boats offer short, scenic tours near the cascades – though walking along the riverbank is just as enjoyable.

When hunger strikes, several restaurants boast spectacular waterfall views, where you can savour a traditional lunch while listening to the roar of the falls. Please note that lunch is not included in the tour.

After plenty of time for exploration, photography, and relaxation, you’ll begin the return drive to Marrakech, arriving back in the late afternoon. Your driver will drop you off directly at your hotel, bringing your memorable day of natural wonder to a close
