9 Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes  Airport Pick up

Your first day of the trip will be picking you up from the airport where you will meet your guide/driver holding a paper with your name written in it. After meeting your guide/driver, you will head to your Riad. Of course your guide/driver will provide you with information and you can ask about what will be the next and how the stay will be and be ready for the next day.

Day 2: Fes City Tour

The next day will be ready to discover the maze of Fez city with your local guide. The city guided tour will start at 09:30 AM. This second day you are gonna discover many different cultural and historical site of the Medina Fez. You are starting the tour with your guide/driver visiting the King palace, the Jewish quarter and the panoramic view of the whole Medina of Fez and after that you are gonna lost with your local guide in the maze of the Medina discovering the Souks, the Ceramic, the leather sites. It will almost be full day, after you are done, you head back to your Riad and be ready for the next adventure to the amzazing place in Morocco, to the Erh Chebbi desert Dunes. 

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Middle Atlas Mountains – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Your third day trip starts, heading to the dunes. This full day, you are discovering the hidden nature of the middle atlas mountains, passing through the small Switzerland of Morocco Ifrane where you will have some free time to walk around and take pictures with the famous sculpted lion. After discovering Ifrane, you start your trip approximately 20 minutes to the Cedar forest where you will have some time to feed and take pictures with Barbary Monkeys then head to Midelt where you will have lunch if you are starving after this long trip, if not then you are waiting approximately an hour to arrive Rich city for your lunch. After an hour for lunch, you head your trip to the dunes where you before stop for the panoramic pictures and stretch your legs and arms in Ziz Valley. Passing from Erfoud city which is about 30 minutes from the dunes, it is an option to stop for the fossils. Arriving the dunes taking pictures then drive Jeep to the camp where you will spend your beautiful night under the stars with short period of enjoying the berber drums around the campfire. 

Day 4: Erg Chebbi Full Day Tour

Enjoying your sunrise and breakfast and even sandboarding. Your Erg chebbi tour starts aproximately at 10:00 am. In this day, you drive to visit the Nomad families then head to hike for short of time in the mountains where you will have an idea about the mascara mines. After you drive to enjoy the Bambara music in Khamnlia Village. then head to lunch time. After lunch, you are driving to visit the lake of the desert and the Oasis and come back to ride your camels to the camp and spend some time in the top of the dunes to enjoy the sunset with your camel man. After the sunset, ride your camels again to the camp where you will spend your amazing night waiting tomorrow to start another beautiful day trip to Dades Valley.

Day 5: Full Day In Merzouga Desert

This day will be relaxed day in the camp or hotel in Merzouga. An option to walk by your own in the desert among the dunes and discover the berber village of Merzouga. Or drive in the morning to Rissani city to discover the ancient city with its souks. the have lunch in Rissani or in Merzouga. You will have free full day of the afternoon to explore the place by your own.

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After enjoying the sunrise and having your breakfast peacefully, you are driving back from the camp to a meetpoint to meet your guide/driver. This fourth day, you are driving to Rissani city where you will explore the old city and its souks and how the life style of people in there. After your short Tour in Rissani, you drive to visit the Irrigation system then head to Tinjdad for lunch time. After enjoying your lunch time, you drive again approximately an hour to the Todra Gorges where you will walk among its high mountains. Back from the Todra Gorges, heading to Dades Valley for the evening and spending your peacefull night.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains -Marrakech

This day, after breakfast, you start your journey driving to Marrakech. After Marrakech there will be more than a stop for the panoramic views and also for the historcal place of the Kasbah of ait ben Haddou, before, you are visiting the famous place where many different movies and where they still film up to now, The Atlas Studio in Ouarzazte city which is also called the  hollywood of Africa. The Atlas Studio is an optional to visit, in case you are fans of American movies then it will be great opportunity to visit this site, mke sure you are gonna pay about 80 Dirhams per person and you will be with the guide with a large group to explain abvout the place. After visiting the Atlas Studio, you drive to the most very known historicl UNESCO site the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. After visiting this historical place, of corse lunch along the road. Now driving to Marrakech passing through the high Atlas Mountains called Tizi Ntichka. Arriving Marrakech. The guide/driver drop you off at your Riad.

Day 8: Marrakech Guided City Tour

Today you are discovering the Marrakech Medina with your local guide walking through the alleys of the Medina discovring the hisorical place of Bahia palace and the Saadien Tombs and the souks of the Medina. Your guided city tour of Marrakech will start at 09:00 am and approximately ends around 01:00 pm where the local guide show you the best restaurant to have lunch or either if you interested to find yours that will be easy for you to navigate and after your lunch you will have free afternoon to walk around the Medina by your own. Ready for the flight the next last day of the trip.

Day 9: Marrakech Airport

Today is the last day of your trip after discovering the different landscapes of Morocco. Our Guide/Driver will pick you up from your Riad and drive to the Menar Marrakech Airport to drop you off gently and say goodbye and see you the next trip. Thank you.
