3 Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

After an early pick-up from your accommodation in Fes, we begin our journey south. We drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, making a brief stop in the alpine-style town of Ifrane and in the cedar forests to see Barbary macaques. We descend towards the Sahara, passing through Midelt and enjoying a panoramic view of the vast Ziz Valley palm grove. We continue via the fossil town of Erfoud before arriving at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga in the late afternoon. Here, you will mount a camel for a serene trek across the golden sands at sunset to reach your authentic desert camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner and spend the night under a spectacular starry sky.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley / Ouarzazate

Wake up early to witness a mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, you will ride your camel back to the village of Merzouga. We then begin our drive west, stopping at the stunning **Todra Gorge** to walk between its towering 300-meter-high cliffs. We continue our journey through the scenic Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations, before arriving at our hotel or riad in the Dades Valley or Ouarzazate area for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, we depart through the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.” We will stop in **Ouarzazate**, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” for a photo opportunity. Next, we visit the famous UNESCO World Heritage site of **Ait Ben Haddou**, an ancient fortified village that has appeared in many films. Finally, we cross the majestic **High Atlas Mountains** via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying breathtaking views and photo stops along the way. We descend to **Marrakech** in the late afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation, marking the end of our services.
